I am back home after two weeks away, there were some promising signs but no result from the two tournaments in Spain and Portugal. The weather in Portugal was very windy and made for a hard couple of days and was more like playing at home, not the sunshine and calm weather you expect.
I am looking forward to my next event in Spain, it is always nice to return to an event you have won even when it is at a different course. This will also be the start of a long run of events, which will be nice to enable me to get into a rhythm rather than the start stop schedule that has been so far this season.
The week before I went to Spain, I gave a golf clinic with John Harrison at Matfen Hall for Gateshead Colleges golf team. They were a lovely bunch of lads and were immaculately turned out in their uniforms. We gave them an insight to what John and I are working on with my swing and tried to give them some tips for them to improve their own games. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and before they teed off for their round we had a group photo and as John's dog Romeo had been running around during the session they insisted he be in the photo too!
I hope everyone has a lovely Easter, try not to eat too much chocolate!
