Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal
The daffodil is the emblem of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Every March they run the Great Daffodil Appeal, with street collections and other fundraising events nationwide, if you see one of their many volunteers please support them and wear your daffodil in support of a fantastic charity.
I spent part of Friday afternoon at the Newcastle Hospice with Steve Harper and some of the nurses to take some photo's to help advertise the appeal. I always find everyone at the hospice so friendly and I know every pound that they raise makes such a big difference.
I wore one of the daffodils on my hat in America last year and will continue to do so this year, if you see me at an event look out for the flower.
