This week I played golf with some friends at Matfen and enjoyed catching up with them, however the weather has been inconsistent and quite wet so not ideal for practice. I also spent some extra time with my Mam as it was her birthday.

Well I have to admit I was wrong about curtains being easy to order, when the ones I ordered arrived the company making them had managed to get them completely wrong and one pair was even 4? short!

I left home at 4.30am on Saturday to drive to Manchester and got through immigration and customs in Atlanta in record speed, unfortunately my connecting flight to Hartford was delayed. But everything arrived with me so I was pleased to be back in America and ready to play.

I spent Sunday watching the last day of the US Open, it doesn?t feel like two years since I was playing at Winged Foot. Tiger is so fun to watch as you know there is always a chance of him doing something brilliant even when he isn?t playing his best, and he did it again.

I am playing in the Travelers Championship, in Connecticut this week. I hope my good form from before my break will continue and something will click and the great week that I feel is just around the corner will arrive.
