John is the Director of Golf at Matfen Hall, he has spent the majority of his time teaching after a number of years playing on various tours around the world including the European Tour. John coaches a number of county teams and was the EGU Northern coach. John started working with Ken at EGU Regional coaching when Ken was thirteen years old, they have worked together ever since. John acts as a mentor and is now one of Ken's closest friends and confidantes, which is why he was Ken's Best Man last year. He is well known for his cheery personality and friendly approach to all. When he isn't working John spends time with his family and is a Middlesbrough FC fan.

John recently won the European Tour Seniors Qualifying school and will be playing on the Seniors Tour in 2010 once he turns 50 in May. Ken wishes John all the best and looks forward to following Senior Live Scoring to keep up with his progress.
